TeamWork projects: unique human and sporting adventures!
TeamWork’s success is due in no small part to the involvement of its TeamWorkers and their ability to work as a team. That’s why we’ve sought to create projects that embody our values.
Whether it’s climbing European summits or sailing around Europe, each project is ambitious, but we don’t position ourselves in a logic of achievement. We make it a point of honor to ensure that the spirit of the whole is at the forefront, and that humility remains the watchword.
PROJECT 1
The epic journey of the 82 “4000” summits
Our ambition was to get our employees to conquer the 82 Alpine peaks above 4,000 meters. In 2015, our project was successfully completed: each of these peaks was climbed by at least one of our employees.
PROJECT 2
Setting sail on a maritime epic: the Sailing Tour
In 2017 our employees took to the sea with the aim of connecting Barcelona to Oslo in 28 stages. Over a three-month period, 90 team members shared the adventure with experienced sailors, sailing together on our Class40 yacht.
The Sailing Tour kicked off on May 15, 2017 in Barcelona and ended on June 18 in Oslo.
PROJECT 3
On the road with the Cycling Tour
With the TeamWork Cycling Tour, our aim was to reproduce the stages of the 2019 Tour de France in-house. For 23 days, our project took us from Brussels to Paris, on the Champs-Élysées.
In all, 130 Teamworkers took turns on 21 stages to meet this ambitious challenge. Covering a total of 3460 kilometers, our adventure included 5 mountain stages and 5 high altitude arrivals.
PROJECT 4
Collective conquest: the incredible ascent of Mont Ventoux
In June 2021 we took on the famous Mont Ventoux challenge, a must for cycling enthusiasts. The project consisted of conquering this iconic mountain through five distinct experiences, all together at the summit:
- Two cycling routes: the classic 142 km circuit with a positive altitude difference of 2,400 meters, or the 42 km ascent (by electric or traditional bike) with an altitude difference of 1,500 meters.
- A mountain bike trail: 54 km (electric or traditional mountain bikes) with an altitude difference of 1,800 metres.
- Two hiking trails: 11 km with a 500-metre ascent, or 14 km with a 1500-metre ascent.
A total of 140 employees successfully reached the summit, including 60 cyclists and 80 hikers.
PROJECT 5
The Tour des Lacs adventure
The “Tour des Lacs” event brought together 165 members of the TeamWork community from all over Europe for two days of intensive cycling.
Our aim was to circumnavigate two remarkable lakes, Lac Léman and Lac d’Annecy, with the possibility of adding extra challenges for those who wished, notably by climbing the passes around Lac d’Annecy:
Day one: cycling around Lake Geneva
Second day: Tour of Lake Annecy, Semnoz and Forclaz by bike or Semnoz by mountain bike
